Prior to Meradia, he was the Director of IT for Brandywine Global Investment Management, a $50B asset management firm. In this role, Tom introduced standards and controls, expanded the application portfolio, organized operational and market data expense, and greatly improved internal reporting platforms. During his tenure, Tom supported all data management analysis and processing activities. He also introduced a 24x7 production platform that supported trading, operations, and client service.

Before Brandywine, Tom was with Legg Mason for several years, where his most recent role was Vice President of Corporate Technology. With Legg, he was the founding member of a leadership team that built a shared investment management technology platform. Prior to Legg Mason, Tom had various IT roles, including application development and systems engineer. Tom’s IT experience runs the gamut, from senior leadership to assembly language and digital electronics.

A big believer in continuing education, Tom keeps current with the overall IT industry and the Microsoft technology stack (.Net, Azure, etc.). Supporting his professional development, he has obtained useful certifications like PMP and ITIL.

Tom’s competitive drive extends well beyond the workplace. Aside from occasionally hitting the links to play golf, he also plays pickup soccer on the weekends. Tom and his wife also enjoy playing cutthroat games of Scrabble with their two kids. They’re also big fans of the culture and variety that city life offers, and enjoy shopping, visiting museums and fine dining experiences, which include gourmet meals that Tom and his wife prepare. Bon appétit!
