Scott A. Wybranski, CFA
Scott founded Meradia in 1997 and has since built the company into an organization of pragmatic problem solvers dedicated to delivering creative solutions and outstanding customer service. Scott started his career as the first employee at an early-entry firm in the fee-only investment advisory space. This firm managed the complete investable assets of ultra-high net worth individuals. Its success was based upon several key principles: 1) client first, firm second; 2) complete transparency of the investment process and all related costs; 3) hire smart people but make the process simple; and 4) be, act and remain professional but personable. Scott worked as a portfolio manager but really sank his teeth into the work to build and optimize process/systems so that the firm could scale its services to its rapid growth in assets and relationships. This advisory firm became known for its investment and operational processes which enabled it to build and maintain high-touch relationships with its enviable clientele. In fact, it was retained to consult to a national money-center bank to help the bank create an internal advisory unit. At the conclusion of this consulting work and, more importantly, after a one year sabbatical during which he single-handed his sailboat to South America and back, Scott created Meradia.
Scott's vision for his own firm was shaped by the principles imbued upon him by his first employer. Scott created a firm where the staff has a sense of belonging - where they are cared about but simultaneously recognize that Meradia's clients' needs always come before the needs of Meradia or its staff. Scott expects his team to act with honesty, transparency, professionalism and intelligence. Most importantly, Scott strives to maintain a culture where people and his firm are measured by the results they achieve. Meradia is known for its accountability and its drive to "deliver".
In order to support and sustain its culture, Scott ensures that Meradia hires creative, dynamic, intelligent and entrepreneurial people. The staff also needs to be fun and energizing. Of course, Meradia's team needs to buy into Scott's ideas of accountability, transparency and professionalism.

Scott earned his B.A. in Economics from Villanova University and is a CFA charter-holder. Passionate about conservation and land preservation, an avid offshore sailor, hiker, private pilot and cyclist - Scott is happiest adventuring with his wife and children.
